Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about habits. I have some habits that I’m trying to work on, small daily things that I feel like I need to do.
I’ll be honest, some days, I feel like I’m doing these things just so I can check them off the list. It feels like a chore. When I’m done, I’m just relieved that I don’t have to think about it anymore… At least until the next day.
You know what though? I’m okay with that. Part of establishing a daily habit is just doing it. Something as simple and mundane as making your bed every day can have an impact on your entire day. Some things will never be more than chores you do simply to check off the list, and that’s okay.
